the 62 hot rod has a modern 9.5" radius and larger 6105 frets. also RWRP middle pickup and a really fat neck. they are both fantastic guitars though.

If you want to get the closest approximation of the Jimi Hendrix clean sound the AVRI '62 would be your best bet.The pups will give you the nice clean chime like he got in The Wind Cries Mary and May This Be Love.The Jimmie Vaughn Strat will also do nicely for Hendrix stuff.

also remember Jimmi was left handed with a righty strat. turned upside down....that puts a different angle on the bridge PU, and in turn a different tone
