Post subject: Questionable EC and Buddy Guy Strats

I just saw a "rare" blue satin finish Buddy Guy Strat on e-bay. My guess is that it's Hwy1 body and a Buddy Guy neck.

Then I saw a EC Strat for sales.

You know what's the difference between the two ads is? The Buddy Gut Strat seller claims to be a ligit by calling it a Buddy Guy Strat and the owner of the EC Strat admits that he's not sure of the guitar's origins; warning the buyer that the guitar is probably a parts guitar.

I've got respect for the EC Strat seller, but I'd never trust the BG seller.

It's that guitar you're drooling around? The partscaster in question features an active/passive toggle switch to bypass the preamp.

The Buddy Guy model was available in Honey Blond and 2-Tone Burst. It was discontinued in 2010.
