Hi, I'm interested in buying either Tom's old signature guitar, the Fender Strat, and the new Gibson ES-333 that he has. Since the old one isn't in production anymore and I can't try it out myself at a store, I was wondering if anyone who has played it before could give some comparisons between the two guitars in terms of their sound, action, features, etc. Thanks!

Well, you'd have to go play the Gibson to find out how that plays, but the Delonge strat probably plays like a standard strat with one pickup. Right now there's a hit on Google for a dude in Phoenix who's selling one on craigslist. You could email him and ask him how it feel's/plays. There's also two different Delonge strats. One's a Squire and ones Fender.

Ok. Thanks guys. I'm planning on going to guitar center and playing the most similar strat they have to Tom's old one and then Tom's new one too.

If you go to GC play the HSS strat. It's not the same humbucker that's in Tom's model but you'll get an idea of the humbucker sound. I played my buddy's Delonge model and it played nice and sounded good.

I would buy the Fender Stratocater Tom Delonge I have many of them they have great necks and the Seymour Duncan Invader pick is great sounding humbucker and cool colors. I would pass on the Gibson model and Tom Delonge squire. The price on the Tom Delonges have come down a lot I would check Ebay I have seen the go for $400-500 with a case just have to wacth.
