You know; I've never paid much attention to Fender's "other" guitar, but I might just need to check this one out.

John could you please post a pic of your bridge?

Sure.

It has been a while since I took indoor guitar pics. It's easier outside in the desert sunshine. :)

Hmmm, we are posting Tele pictures in the Strat forum... okay, I did own a Clapton Strat for a few years and I always wondered how a mid boosted Tele bridge pickup would sound. Now I know and I like it.

I find it a bit odd that Fender would make a Strat with both a humbucker and mid-boost. The mid-boost makes more sense with single coils.

Thanks John, I was having tuning/intonation
Issues, that picture gives me a better idea
with the bridge break angle, and how the
barrels proximity to the neck is.
My guitar came with the worst setup
I have ever received on a fender.
Still needs a few tweaks here and there
But, stays in tune better .

Ps just look how much forward my saddles
Were compared to yours

Yeah, I didn't like the strat fsr, on paper, it should sound similar
To the Clapton in neck and middle pu.
It doesn't, maybe a wiring issue .
Which is a good thing, because I went with the intention of
Loving it and buying it since it's a fsr limited.
But Nah. I'll Pass on this one.

On a sidetracked project, I'm still gonna get the dimarzio
Air norton neck pickup for my hr 57

You're welcome. I'm glad the pic helped with your setup and intonation.

Yeah, that setup doesn't look quite right. I'll bet it didn't stay in tune or play that well, either. The Sunburst FSR Tele I played after I zeroed in on the Blizzard Pearl one had an awful setup, too. It made my buying decision even easier.

That's why Clapton asked for it. He wanted his single coils to sound like humbuckers....

Sounded out of tune, but as soon as I saw the saddles and felt the
Action I knew it was a setup issue. Thought, I can fix that
Now my saddles look more like yours

That's why I think it's odd to have a mid boost on a guitar that already has a humbucker.

Same here. I have played mine so much that I already killed the original battery.

It's a good thing I had a spare. The withdrawal symptoms would have been nasty.

Or the battery will drain.
