Hi jwingo, welcome to the Forum.

I believe the neck on my American Standard Strat is as thin as any Fender I can remember handling.

Though if it is shredder type skinniness you need then you ain't going to find it in the Fender catalog. Names like Ibanez and Jackson are where you need to look for that. Horses for courses.

Cheers - C

Take your neck and sand it.

The neck on my Squire Classic Vibe Tele Custom is the thinnest that I have played that was Fender associated. Of course this was a RW neck and a Tele but maybe try out some of the other CV maple necked Strats?

I'm a blues player.
The clapton strat has a v neck and I've been playing Hagstrom
and moserite. Just can't get used to thick necks. Ibanez has a
thin "wizard" neck but is a metal guitar. Maybe I just need to
get a Strat and custom neck. Any suggestions??

warmoth has a very thin profile available as an option. to get as thin as you want that would be a good place to start.
