So I want to change the knobs on my blacktop strat, but they have a set screw and the shafts on the pots are not split-perfectly round.
Anywhere I can find some? I really do not like the amp knob look
Thanks Folks-Lovin' this BT Strat now.

How about trying the tone/volume knobs from a Jaguar or Mustang? They have a set screw but don't look like amp knobs.

Hello, pathfinder69: I don't know the Blacktop's pot specs so I'm on shakey ground here. But you may find that it has metric rather than imperial sized pot shafts, which is sometimes the case with knobs that have screws to hold them in place. Either way, you need to accurately measure the diameter of the shaft to find out for sure and get the right replacements.

Once you have that information you can go shopping. There are too many sellers of aftermarket knobs to start naming them. However, a glance at the knob specs on this site will at least get you up to speed on what knobs are compatible with what pot shafts. Have a look and take it from there:

Good luck - C

Oh, by the way, Forum user Kong has just been modding his Blacktop, which I see now has regular looking Fender knobs on it. You could ask him about that to double-check: he's an extremely nice guy and will be happy to help. Here's the thread:

...I've a feeling there's lots of people that like the Blacktop Strat but don't like those knobs. I suspect there's a growing number of those knobs kicking around at the bottom of people's spares boxes.

Cheers - C

I actually changed the pots on my blacktop, and sold the original loaded guard, knobs and all. I would imagine Tele knobs might well work, but as Ceri said it is best to measure first. I think Chrome Tele knobs with flat tops would look great with those Chrome 'buckers.
