Tell ya the truth Im really just tryin to get a feel for what everyone else does on thier strats on here.
Im a metal rock player, like Metallica, Danzig, BLS, Godsmack, but love the classics like I listed originaly.
Im new to this board but not new to a strat. I have been playing now 35 years.
So just seeing what my new found friends are in to I guess.

Hey Donny...as far as music goes,I've been into the blues for the last 35 years or so,I've played Southern Rock,and classic rock also through those times...all in all I've been playing since the late '60s,but it was a few years until I locked into a style....and when I started seeing all those great blues players with Strats,I finally put the Les Paul up and have just used the Strats...and vintage Fender amps,but in the early to mid '70s it was the LP and Marshall amps.
I think Strats can be used for many styles,it's just a versatile instrument.

Although Iron Maiden doesn't use Fender exclusively...I like them along with Pink Floyd and Deep Purple. For a while Rush was mostly Fender, but Alex went back to Gibson.



I am also a Metal player and dabble a bit in Blues, Rock, and Alternative-metal. I have been playing for almost 25 years. I play Fender and Squier guitars exclusively. I can sound like old school Black Sabbath to Rush to Metallica. I can get a good SVR sound (wish I could play more like him) and Foo Fighters.

Pete uses Tele's for sure, but I believe they are Schecter Teles. However, the OP never mentioned The Who, which is why we are wondering what the second poster was talking about unless joking...

Pete Townsend plays an Eric Clapton strat, John Enwistle played fender basses very early on, Pino Palladino who plays bass with them now even has his own custom shop signature precision.
