I have a new strat (less than 6 months) that just suddenly has no sound unless I using the humbucker, but other than that, it will not playing. Any idea what might be wrong?

Wow. I unplugged it and turned off my line six amp for about 30 minutes and it the sound is back...

Check your switch. Take it back to where you bought it and let them sort it out. Should still ne under warranty.

Dirty contacts in the switch or bad wiring, poor solder. I have a new Lester that the amended with its own wiring gremlins that still can't be sorted out.

I guess I'll have to send it back to musiciansfriend.com. I hope It does not take long for them to repair it.

A dry solder problem with the two s/coils pups. Mine went back 2 weeks later with exactly the same problem. TBH NOT what I was expecting from such an expensive piece of equipment from the US.
Though I did get it back 2 days later, delivered personally by the Fender tech.
He only lived in the next street from me. Sweet....
I even got an invite to his workshop and was surprised at what he had to repair under warranty. I mean his pretty large workshop was stacked with stuff and a lot of of it was from two big companys.
Shows the big names are not as reliable as they say they are.

mt ed, that is exactly why I bought a fender strat. It came so highly recommedned from lots of guitarist I spoke to. And yes, you wouldn't think that something so expensive would have problems just 5 months after being purchased.
