It's a Fender strat standard. Made in Mexico. About 10 to 11 years old.
Ensenada Plant (Fender), Mexico
in the Year(s): 2000 - 2001.

Nothing special about this one! Just an okay Fender guitar!

Thanks for the reply :)

Just a bog standard MIM then. Is it a worthy trade for my Dean ML?

I'm not a fan of the Dean ML, Model is a bit too much for me. I really like Fender guitars and MIM's mostly play very nice! I would say yes for the trade..

Its not for everyone, I agree. I had it coz of my metal phase  Its not the best for reggae I must admit.

We're working out where to meet, he's 3 hours away from me, so we're thinking of meeting half way. I'd love it even more if it was white, had the spaghetti logo and 50's tuners :P Can always make it that way.

There's a gorgeous Japanese '50s Strat on Gumtree, near Portsmouth, £350. Well worth a look, I'm extremely tempted.

Don't bother with this. Overpriced. You can pick up newer, nicer Mexican models for cheaper.

300 british pounds is almost 475 dollars and that's not worth it to be honest. Can't you buy a new MIM online cheaper than that?

Things are a bit different here. A brand-new American Deluxe will set you back around $1700. Not sure how much they are there but I'm sure they're cheaper!

The Custom Shop Strat I wanted (a Custom Classic) was $3,000 dead on. Ow.

Well, we're working something out.

Its a strat, if I don't like something on, It'll get changed :) I'll probably get klusons for it, tex mex pups and set it up with 10-52 Martin Darco strings.

Not as 'spikey', a little more gain on hand. You can turn them down a bit and they sound like regular USA singlecoils.

Much better, in my holy opinion. Owned a Lone Star with Texas Specials, and my current main guitar has them too... just excellent singlecoils.

Hmm... interesting. I shall youtube them to see roughly how they will sound. Thanks :)
