A friend took in a Strat Part-ocaster last night. Upon inspection today, the neck appears to be a Mighty Mite and the body is also an aftermarket (with a poorly cut tremolo hole). It seems to be ok, except, I think it has a Fender Squier Bullet tremolo on it. He wants to sell the pickups and some of the other parts to replace them with the better parts. However, aftermarket bodies usually don't have the screw holes for the tremolo. He wants either a Schaller or American Vintage bridge, but if its lined up for a Squier I'm not sure if those will work. Will the screw holes line up?

umm, maybe consider getting something else and starting over??? Our use it like it is until one can afford something a little better? I do not know if I would invest time and money in that Partscaster.

To install a MIA vintage-spec trem will require filling the existing holes and re-tapping new ones with the correct screw spacing. It looks like the narrow-spaced MIM "vintage style" bridge will drop in without issues.

He bought the whole guitar for $100, so he might get some if not all of that back. I'll have to measure the spacing of the screws to figure out if a vintage MIM will fit.
