So i went to Guitar Center the other day armed with a Maton EBG 808te acoustic guitar with the objective of coming out with a Strat.

I jammed around on a few different Strats until i tried a used one in condition. The guy that was telling me about the different guitars was a self confessed Les Paul guy so he didnt have to much information on this specific Strat. I didnt really care to much about the specifications at this point as i had already fallen for this Guitar.

I was told at guitar center that it is a 2010 American "Limited Edition vintage/relic/reissue" ( not really too sure of the differences, and im not really too confident that its limited edition blah blah) i wasnt really listening to them to be honest because i was to excited that i was getting a guitar.

Anyway, i ended up doing a straight trade and walked out with this very nice strat.

Here are some pictures, http://imageshack.us/g/42/platejn.jpg/

any info would be great! thanks

With 22 frets, a 2-point trem, and cast tuning machines, it's no "vintage/relic/reissue".

Hi BigSmellyHippy,

Looks like a newer American Standard Strat, a little worn, possibly modified (pups?), but nice. I don't know about all that "Limited Edition vintage/relic/reissue" stuff, sounds like nonsense to me. That extra neck plate doesn't go with this guitar, no hole for the tilt adjust.

You can contact Fender with the serial number to see what info they have.

While the folks at Fender will have the full answer, to me it looks like one of a limited run of American Standards from last year that were done in a thinskin nitro finish in vintage white. I'm not sure how many were in that run - it seems like it was a fairly small run (no more than 100 guitars, maybe less than 50). Again Fender's consumer relations will be able to tell you all the details.

^^^ this guy is good!

I got the specs back from fender and there was actually 30 made of the limited run you were talking about. and it has the thin skin nitro finish.

So now that, that is cleared up is that why i have the limited edition plate? I know it doesnt have the tilt adjust hole, but......?
