I am in need of a new battery holder for my VG strat.

Te old ponehas broken and of course the guitar cannot give the effects without batteries.

I have tried the Fender customer help line and they are worse than useless.

I have tried to contact Mike Eldred on the customs hope section (OFF TOPIC - I KNOW).

He has not replied either!

Pity to have a great company like Fender that doesnt care for it's customers {maybe it's the new CEO (ex Guitar Centre)'s policy} (Guitar Centre dont give a damm about their customers either)..

Can anyone suggest where to get o ne of these battery holders, or if there is another way to get power to the guitar circuit using another holder type?

HELPPE.

Thanks for the link, but those battery boxes from that site will not fit the ones for the VG strats. The VG strats uses AA batteries, I think four batteries. I thought about the battery holder failing at some point and I called Fender customer service two years ago when I purchased my VG if they could send me a couple of battery holders and they did. They sent me two.

are you very capable with a soldering iron? the packs are easy to build probably cheaper also.

How would you hope to solder the thing onto the VG's circuit board?
That's a downright tricky job.

If I were you mate, I'd be looking at paying someone else to have the headache of sorting the battery compartment out. Not a job I'd want to tackle.
Have a look around for a very good amp builder/computer builder that specializes in PCB's. Then hopefully the cost won't be too bad.

AA Battery boxes are quite common. They will undoubtedly be in stock at Mouser. Just ask em if you cant see what you need. They have a great reputation worldwide. Nearly as good as Fender's when it comes to customer care. :D
