:) Hi, i want to jump in the big League now. I have 2 fender Squier, the first one is stratocaster CV 50 Olympic White and the second is Vintaged Modified Tele® Thinline and i like both of them and i will keep it. But now i want to buy a Fender Stratocaster Americain but wich one is better, the American Special Stratocaster or the American Standard Stratocaster is hard to make my choice because i like the vintage-style synchronized tremolo on the special and on the standard i like Sienna Sunburst color and the ash body  can you help me and try both at my GC
thanks and sorry for my english

Go with the one you like better.

I would go with the Standard, as you seem to love the Ash.
Later on you could upgrade some of the appointments to your liking! :D

Go with whatever you feel more comfortable playing. They're both great guitars in their own right. I would give a little more consideration to the American Standard as it might be worth a little more in 25 years or so.. (no joke)

The Special Series is limited in colors for now but I'm guessing that Fender might make more colors available in the near future if they know what's good for them. There seems to be a great deal of demand for the Special series models as the price is lower than the Standard (Not by very much though) Remember too that the Special only comes with a gig bag as opposed to the standards Hardshell case. The pickups are different on these two models so take your time and play them both and see which one sounds better to your ear. Good luck.

i have a hr 57 and hr 62 strat, great guitars for my taste. the am std is a high quality
instrument so is the special, but still i would choose the american standard.
especially so close in price.

As a former owner on an American Special and a proud owner of an American Standard the only advise I can give to you is try them both out. When I bought my American Special I played several different models from MIM Standards to American Deluxes. At that point in time I liked the American Special that I bought the best. Several months later I play another American Standard and liked it better than my American Special.

I hate to say this but even within the same models every guitar is different. Either with the feel, tone, or asthetics all Fenders are a little different. All I can say is play all the defferent models in your price range and pick the best one based on feel, tone, and asthetics.
