I have a Strat unlike any other I've seen. I would like to know more about it and if it has been altered from original. I'd also like an owner's manual. Can anyone help me find this info?

Thank you,
Mike

Hi Mike. Any chance of a photo?

You'll find a basic Strat manual out on the main site, under "knowledge base".

Fatherof9? Blimey, if you put that energy into your guitar playing, you could be incredible..

Yeah, with a request like that, photos are an absolute must have.

Owner's manuals are here:

As best you can, describe the guitar by answering the following questions:
Serial Number:
Type of Pickups (i.e. 3 single coil):
Head Stock size & Shape:
Logo Style (Spegatti, 70s or 80s Style):
Rosewood or Maple Neck:
Truss Rod adjustment location (Body end or head Stock end):
Pick guard color and Style:
Bridge type (i.e. 2 point, Floyd Rose or 6 point):
Neck Plate (3 bolt or 4 Bolt) and is it stamped with anything?:
Fret size (vintage or Jumbo):
Strap Bottons (locking or vintage):
Tuning keys (locking, vintage, 70s or modern):
String guides (how many and what type):
Tell me about the color & paint job (i.e. is the head stock painted to match the body):
Fret markers:

I hope this list of questions helps. Answer them as best you can with as much discription as possible. If you don't know what the actual term is, than just discribe it.

After you sent me the information I'm get back to you with an answer the moment I know.

Oh yeah, that's a '59 reissue with a '72 neck. I think the third pickguard screw has been changed as well as the 16th fret.

Hey guys,

As you probably recognize, there are Lace Sensor pickups, Grover locking tuners (I think). The bridge does not look standard to me. The tone controls are different in that the bottom tone appears to be center/dent (+/-) and they do not both work on all pickups. The nut is ball bearing. Is this guitar modified from original and if it is original, was there a particular model name given to it? Was there a specific owner's manual for this guitar?

Thanks for any info.

Mike

Looks like a completely standard Strat Plus to me - Certainly looks like the one I have sat about three feet away, anyway. 1995 or 1996 according to the serial number.

Schaller locking tuners, 3 gold Lace Sensors, standard US tremolo with a roller nut. Can't be much else!

Bottom tone control will be the TBX control for the bridge and mid pickups, with the 'normal' position being in the middle at the detent rather than on 10, taking it above that thins the sound a little and gives you a nice dose of extra top end bite.

If an online version of the manual will do, try this - http://support.fender.com/manuals/instr ... Plus_(1987)_manual.pdf

(Might have to copy and paste that whole link rather than clicking it, as the forum URL thingy doesn't seem to like it and cuts off the end! )
