Oh and cant forget Yngwie lol. Yeah they copped alot of ideas for sure. My deluxe locking is a living Van Halen influenced.
Was just thinking about my friends 66 and my 76 that were routed at the same time for humbuckers.

That is so true, many fine guitars were harmed to put in a humbucker. We were young and we needed that sound. No quarterpounders or hot rails to put in that poor Stratocasters.
We are older now and wiser :P
We pay lots of money to buy that old guitars and feel better now, do we? :lol:

He restored that 66 but the guy said its only worth 10 grand because of humbucker route. If he hadnt routed it if was told it would value at 25 grand.
My deluxe came with every thing I wanted on it, but yeah super vees and single coil sized humbuckers and even locking vintage style tuners. Wish we would have had that stuff.

The only rule i have now days is no wood removal on american strats and keep the original parts pickups tuners bridge etc.
