I have 3- Fender stratocasters that my sister received in a divorce settlement. She is wanting to sell them, but I dont know what they are really worth. Here is the info I have on these

1- Natural Ashwood finish, SN 717780, with case. condition looks good, probably needs new strings

2- Sunburst finish, no strings, pickups are loose, spare pickups, missing the tuners (not being the guitar buff, dont know what they are called) up top, in case, SN 661589

3- White finish, 40th Anniv, in case, SN N3114684, needs new strings (little corrsion on them)

Any help would be appreciated very much. If more info is needed please let me know I will try and get what I can, remember I am no guitar buff so easy laymans terms will help me.

Thanks
Lincoln

#3 appears to be a 1993 or 1994 40th anniversary Fender vintage series. I saw one selling for $1,400.00

Sorry, no disrespect but #2 sounds like a basket case... I'd be interested if the price is right.

Not to sure about the other two, is that the complete serial number? No letters?

you can use this site http://www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx to figure out what year and where they were made

Thank you for the information. That helped alot.
I now know that
Guitar #1 is a 1976 Strat made in the Fullerton Plant.

Guitar #2 is a 1975 Strat made in the Fullerton Plant

Guitar #3 is a 94-94 Strat made in the Corona Plant.

Is this good or bad? I am looking for the fair market price so I can pass them on to someone that could use them. If she (or I) keeps them they will not be of much use, and would like to get them to someone that would appreciate them in the future.

Thanks again for the info.

Linc

I will take some pictures of these guitars and have them on hand if anyone would like to take a look at them. I will do it this weekend to have them for next week.

Check out E-bay for some idea of the prices. There's a nice '76 natural ash for $3K, the '75's seem to be cheaper. The '94 are tougher, there doesn't seem to be a really consistant price for them.
