Hi there , I have an American Standard HSS 2010 model in which I removed the bridge screws, saddles and its springs to clean up a little bit, but when I got to put them back in place I didn´t notice that each of them have a different spec for each string! Now I don´t know what goes where! Basically the saddles have different depth slots for the screws to get in, one has, unlike the others, a hole not in the center, in the left corner. And the springs come in pairs: small, medium and large sizes. So any help would on which saddle and spring go on what string would help a lot. Thank you very much.

Here is a photo of your guitar from this web site:

http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0110100700

Here are instructions on how to set up your guitar:

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... etup-guide

If none of this makes any sense, then I suggest you put all your bridge parts in a zip lock baggie and take them and your guitar to a good guitar tech and ask the tech to put it all back together and to do a complete setup on your guitar.

HI there! thank you very much for your reply, actually I already took a look at that page and it didn´t give me the info that I needed. It tells you the procedure on how to do things, but it won´t say in what place each piece of hardware is supposed to be at, in this case, the bridge saddles, if you take a look on each of them, they have different sizes for the screws to go in, more carved to almost not carved at tall, it´s just a matter of depth on each saddle and the springs come in pairs with different sizes: small, medium and large quantitizing 6 in total. I also thought about taking it to a guitar tech, but it´s so simple that I think would be just a waste of a money. So, in other words, I just need to know what goes where, for example: the most carved saddle goes on the G string and use a small spring. Thanks a lot ;), and again any help is very welcome. PS: if this helps, one saddle does not have a screw slot located in the center, but on the far left, close to the corner.

Look at the way the saddles are positioned intonation-wise in the photo. The shorter strings have the longest screw reach and therefore require the longest springs (like the high e-string).

The taller saddle screws follow a curvature in relation to the fretboard radius, and thus are the two center saddle's height adjust screws. Thinking the odd saddle will be your high e, just a guess there, but if they aren't compensated for string spacing, the saddles will bunch.

Hope that's a start for ya. Next time.take pictures! :D

Look at the photo of your guitar in the first link I sent you. I really don't understand what you are saying. Is English your native language? Photos of your guitar and parts would be very helpful.

The bridge saddles are all identical. The intonation adjustment screws are all identical. The saddle height screws are either all identical or the eight in the middle 4 saddles are identical and the 4 in the high and low E saddles are slightly shorter. Unless Fender has changed things, all 6 intonation springs are identical. The low E and G may be shorter (some people cut them shorter) but if you look at the photo it should be obvious which goes where.

It is clear that you did not know what you were doing when you took everything apart. It is also clear that you do not know what you are doing as far as putting things back together and properly setting up your guitar. I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but you really should just take the guitar and parts to a tech and have it put back together and set up properly. At your current level of understanding you seriously risk putting something back wrong or not adjusting things properly and ruining the sound and playability of your guitar.

I suggest you get a book such as this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Fender-Stratocast ... 653&sr=1-2

and not mess with your guitar until you have studied and thoroughly understand what needs to be done.

Hi! Thanks a lot, that really helped :D, and sorry, I am new to the forum, here are the pics: (link contains porn, removed -Brad) My apologies for my bad english, it´s not my native language and I really don´t know the guitar technical language, hope you guys can understand what I mean when I say "carved". Anyway, the picture will illustrate better. PS: I just noticed that the most "carved" saddle is also the weird one with the hole/slot for the screw not in the center, but to the far left. Thanks a lot again! And you are not being harsh at all :), actually thanks for all the input!

You appear to have one bridge saddle that is drilled incorrectly off-center. I suggest you take everything to a tech and have the bad saddle replaced under warranty (I assume you bought the guitar new and you are the original owner) and get everything put together and set up properly.

Also, host your photos on another website. The one you are using is highly offensive. Pornography is not allowed here and it will get you banned for life.

Hi there, yep it´s new and is still under warranty, but what do you think about the saddles? Did you understand after looking at the pics about the differences in each one of them? Thanks a lot!

As I said, one saddle is drilled improperly. The saddles must be adjusted to set the correct string action height and the string length for proper intonation. Since you do not understand the setup procedure in the link I gave you, take it to a tech.

FIND ANOTHER PHOTO HOSTING SITE IMMEDIATELY.

I just keep them all at the same height/screwed-in-ness.
