This is my set up in this youtube clip of In The Moonlight and the album I am recording. A 1981 Vox AC30 and the guitar is a 1980 swamp ash natural original except for the 1976 Fender Schaller tuners. This guitar has fantastic action, and a silky smooth maple neck,
You cant beat a Fender strat to give clear crisp notes in rythm playing, they scare me too as the guitar clarity teaches you to be a better guitarist, am still waiting for Fender to sponsor me in Australia, hopefully Lets Shake It my first single on sale next week on itunes will get me more respect.

Long time no see Vin!
Nice melody and chord structure to that track mate. Watch the tuning though, ok.

Glad to see you up and about. Judging by your attire you're feeling that Aussie winter.

Hello and thanks niki hoppy and impulse good to see you, hahahha you have a good ear niki. Niki are you still in that gas guzzler roadster car parts covers band ? you guys are good
Shes a nice song I think the sweetest I ever wrote, I need some pedals reverb delay and a quality sustain distortion unit low noise, anyone recommend any quiet digital units with reverb delay sustain combined around 200.00 bucks

Im pushing my music clips like crazy for the past week sending off cds emailing labels, $@!& if Lets Shake It cant crack it anywhere I
ll lapse into Lady Gaga land and become one of her little monsters

It's taken me 5 years to get this rock n roll sound happening. The hardest part is recording the music to sound authentic, Im not the greatest guitarist but know a few riffs and licks which make me sound reasonable. I found a drummer who likes my stuff and now am looking for a bass guitarist. Am thinking now about a stand up bass player with those big violin bass things, they have a nice natural sound. If I can afford 2 ladies in sixties minis to dance either side of me and maybe do back ups thats great too. I want to bring back authentic rock n roll, USA would love me I think. Amy Winehouse brought back sixties music and she was hot, my dream is to do the same thing a revival. If it lasts 3 years I'll be happy.

All I want is in three years is to have 3 hit singles world wide and to bring out 2 albums. 2 weeks ago I jammed with a famous Aussie bass guitarist who was in a band called Hush. He really liked my sound but was concerned about my alternating rythms. I've simplified my sound as much as possible. I try to get a slapstick sound happening like loose rock n roll.

Some say rock n roll is dead but I'm writing and singing it. A very rich and beautiful lady wanted me to go to the USA but I was caring for my family and couldnt. A friend told me that the USA will eat me alive and spit me out as I am too innocent.

My little studio has an old 4 track tape recorder and an old seventies stereo which is helping me get this sound. I dont even use effects on my voice anymore, once I would drown myself in delay reverb and chorus. Im shocked at my voice on the song My Cheree, I sound like a child, it was recorded with no back ups.

Nah Vin, I quit that band a year or two ago. They had to get two guitarists in to replace me.
I've been mucking about with a few bands of late. A disco 70's/80's thing and a soul band. Tomorrow I have a audition for a band formed in '65. Their called Khan, achieved some success in the 70's. Re-released their back catalog in 2005, have a massive tour lined up for next year. Best of all, there's a regular pay packet.

Watch them double bass players mate. They know they are in demand so are a law unto themselves. I generally avoid em, most aren't as good as they think they are and constantly hit bad notes then try to slide up or down to pitch. Works great for slow jazz stuff but not uptempo rock'n'roll.
Great sound from em but a load of hassle to deal with. All the best with it.

Great stuff vinnypop1! :)

The song "Let's Shake It" has a nice Beatles vibe to it, very cool. Hope you have success with it.

You'll have to come round and keep her company whilst I'm away.
Just don't touch the old amps.
