A black Squier in 1992.
I had a Hohner Les Paul copy at the time and went to a guitar store to try out a distortion pedal - the gave me the Strat to try out the pedal with - I traded-in my Hohner for the Squier and never bought the pedal!

This is the first one I got, although it's technically not a fender, it is a stratocaster!

As you can see it has been through a lot of pain, mainly from my hands!
It started life as this:

I hope you like it! I do :)

A 1974 natural with rosewood board, black pickguard, white knobs, switch tip etc. I picked it up at a pawn shop in 1982 and I still have it.

My first strat was a Made in Japan Squier. It had the Fender logo with a Squier Series logo on it. My first wife bought it in the early 90's. It was a thing of beauty and sounded wonderful through the 1950's Kay tube amp that I had been given. I picked on it and made up chords since I didn't really know how to play. I had it for years, picking around on it occasionally. My second wife sold it and the amp at a pawn shop so she could get her hair done in 2005. $80! Divorce came a couple of months later. My curent wife told me to buy a guitar a few years ago since she saw how much music meant to me, so I did....a Hamer (I know, not a strat) and a 75' Epiphone acoustic. I learned to play, and became an addict. The first strat I bought since knowing how to play was a early 90's Fernandes which I still own and play. I've been through some Squiers and a MIM. Currently, the only strat with connections to Fender that I own is a MIK E Series Squier that I recently bought. Sounds better than any Strat I've owned except for maybe the first one. That Japan model was just wonderful.

I got my first Strat in 1977 - it was an Antoria copy, Natural M/N white scratchplate. It looked heavenly and played quite well. I soon upgraded to a Fender Tele which I lived with for many years. Now I'm back with an American Special Strat - C.A.R. M/N and it's beautiful. I love everything about it!

I got it November 1, 1976.

Mine was almost identical to this beauty -but it was 1961' and I sold it for 'peanuts' in 64.

Now I have a Sonic Blue Strat Plus bought new in 1997 , but unfortunately I have only managed to playit for about 3 hours in 14 years, and no one else has touched it. Mike 700

I got my first strat on September 13 of this year. It's a 2010 Fender American Standard, and it is gorgeous. It is an olympic white body with rosewood fretboard. I have replaced the white pickguard with a tortoiseshell pickguard and it's even more gorgeous now. I have since ditched my ESP-LTD MH-1000. I have become a Fender-Fanatic since this strat and I have just picked up a Super Sonic 112 combo amp (before the newer "60-watt" reiteration of the Super-Sonic series).

My first Strat was a sunburst '67 pre-owned model. I bought my first
new Strat in '74 for about $350 w/case and sold it in '05 for $2400.
A friend of mine still owns the '67, but doesn't play it anymore.
