Come on Fender... the new American Standard Strats are good - but you guys seriously need some inspiration for the colours. I mean, Blizzard Pearl? COME ON... all I want is a decent Daphne Blue or Sonic Blue strat - is that too much to ask?

Blzrd Prl is one of my favorite colors.

You can order a US made Strat in just about any color that you want from the Custom Shop. Problem solved.

Haha, very funny. I am well aware of the custom shop but I don't think that Daphne Blue should only be available from the custom shop. It should be a standard Fender colour for their strats - just as Olympic White and Black and Sunburst always are.

The American Standard Strat comes in 14 different color/fretboard combinations. Fender probably does just like the automotive manufacturers. They study the colors that sell each year for the different models and make their decisions based on what has sold in the past. If last year they sold 50% red, 25% black, 15% white, 5% blue, 4% gray, and 1% green and they decide to offer 5 colors this year year, guess which one gets left out. Just because that one happens to be your favorite color doesn't matter.

You can get a Mexican model in Daphne or Sonic Blue right now...I don't think you'd be sorry for getting it either.

Helen Keller was disappointed also. Fender never offered her favorite color, which was corduroy. :o

If they sold the american standard in Dakota Red id have bought it a long time ago without buying all those other excessive guitars in-between! Candy cola is depressive...
