I frequent the Fender Forum about once a week, and it seems like someone always posts a "MIM vs MIA" topic.

Can we all agree to stop replying to this topic?

I know that some posts seem very redundant, however
it is forum.
I agree with you that the player is important,
I have 2 hrods pretty pricey, and I still suck at playing
lol. Jeff healey played a squier modded and sounded awesome.
Yet it still remains and all things stratocaster forum.
if someone post something you don't agree with, just ignore
It.
Just my 2 cents

Sure.

And while we're at it, let's kill all redundant best strings, best pickups, best action, favorite color, nitro vs poly, tube vs solid state, how to set up a guitar, best guitarist, maple vs rosewood, tone is in your fingers, Strat vs Tele, all troll posts, ....... my fingers are tired.

And Poll posts too.

Seriously I play whatever I like and don't care what anyone thinks. I've played good and bad guitars from vintage to modern day guitars, Squires, MIM's, MIA, China, Japan you name it. If the action is decent and the intonations good, it doesn't really matter. I just bought a Gibson Studio 60's Tribute with P-90's and I think this thing is the mutts nuts and didn't break the bank either. Seriously the best single coil pups I've ever owned. Arguing over what's better is just silly IMO. If it works for you, it's all good. I heard the same crap about my 72 Strat because it's not only a CBS Strat, but it also has a three bolt neck. I think it plays and sounds great and don't care what the gear snobs think. It's all about what it can do in YOUR hands.

Look all i'm trying to say is, how many times have you read a post that indicates "MIM strats are just as good as MIA strats, MIA strats are not worth the extra cost". We all know it's some guy who couldn't afford the MIA, and is just trying to boost his ego. The MIA strats are Fenders flagship guitars and that's the bottom line. You own an MIA strat, you own the real McCoy.

Personally, I own three MIJ strats. I used to own two MIAs, but I sold them to buy more MIJ strats. I love to play them, and I don't need someone else telling me, they are better or worse than MIAs or MIMs. I like how my MIJs play and that's all that should matter.

I have yet to read a post that insinuates, people who pay $15 for a set of guitar strings are morons because $7 strings are the same thing. Thats what MIM vs MIA posts are really about.

Hi Axe.
Your post puzzles me, as you are offering to drop the discussion, then you entice us with the real McCoy, which you traded for more MIJ Strats.
To me, that is what it´s all about! Here´s a guy (you) who seeks the Japanese Stratocaster
(I own 2 from the late 80´s, by the way).
I just LOVE all this esoteric speculation about year, model, pickups, and country of assembly, and when things heat up I follow the thread with delight.
My girlfriend thinks I´m nuts.
But the guys in the Forum understand my obsession.
Hahaha just like a support group. This is group therapy for Fenderheads!!

Tell us MORE about the greatness (and year) of your MIJ´s!! :D
As soon as I travel to see my kids (my MIJ´s are with them) I am looking forward to posting pictures of these great axes and start a thread on the mighty MIJ club!
