So I purchased this used gem at Guitar Center for $860 including tax. I sat and played with it for half an hour and instantly knew that this was the Strat for which I had been patiently waiting all these years. I have always thought Strats to be too thin-sounding for me (I was a metal-head that yearned for thick, deep, chugged chords) so I never really wanted a Strat. I have now matured into a more diverse player and truly appreciate having the crisp bell-like tones that ring out from this thing. I thought this thing was a steal at the $799 price tag.

When I went to complete my purchase, the guy that rung me up pointed out that the guitar had been modded with Vintage Noiseless pickups. My complete ignorance thought these came standard with this thing, but the guy assured me that these were truly an upgrade over what came stock with this model of guitar. It's nice to know that Eric Clapton plays with these pickups as well. So the reason this guitar was priced so cheaply was because of that very mod. Anyways, onto the pics, 'cause I know you guys love 'em.

EDIT: So the pickups may very well be the Hot Noiseless Pickups and not the Vintage Noiseless as I had originally thought, as pointed out by bluesky636

Beautiful looking guitar you have there. Never used to be a fan of white strats but can see the appeal now. I got me a 2010 standard a little while back and the finish, fit and feel are just right. Nice score on the pickups too.

Im sure your model is one of the 'Limited Run' models that came in Vintage White- check the specs for that year, you may be surprised

Those don't look like Vintage noiseless pickups. The stagger appears all wrong. In fact, I don't see any stagger on the neck and middle pickups at all.

Ahh-hah! I knew there was a possibility that they weren't the Vintage ones, but instead the Hot ones (see attached pic-link) Nice observation, bluesky!

Well, I am very satisfied with these pickups nonetheless, would have liked to have the vintage ones, but maybe I may just have to hold out for a second Strat

Could be a combination. The neck and middle look like Hot Noiseless but the bridge looks like a Vintage Noiseless. As long as you like the sound, that's all that matters. I'm just glad that someone didn't pull a fast one and stick Noiseless covers on standard pickups. :D
