You could do it many ways with a n.o. momentary push button switch or a on/off Mini Toggle Switches

Why not simply lower the volume control to '0'?

Any way, a single pole, single throw switch will fulfill your requirements.

Hi masterofinsanity,

What do you mean by a "kill switch"? Some people refer to the switch that bypasses all controls and puts the bridge pup directly across the output, as a "kill switch", when it is actually a "passing lane" switch.

If you're wanting to cut off all electronics in the guitar, why not get a cable with a circuit breaker switch built in. I have one of these and use it when swithching between guitars so I don't have to rely on the sound guy to mute me when I unplug and plug back in. Mine is from Planet Waves. I don't use it that much unless I'm going back and forth between acoustic and electric and I'm somewhere where there are not enough open channels to the house sound system or I'm playing through one amp.

I've been using one of the Planet Waves circuit breaker cords for about two or three years now and it works great.
