Post subject: Red dual Lace Sensor in a Squier H Strat?

I have a weird Squier Stratocaster. It has a single humbucker and a short Gibson-length 24.75" scale. Made in Japan circa 1985-6. It currently has a cheap EMG Select pickup in it. I'm thinking about replacing it with a dual red Lace Sensor. I'm looking for a heavy nasty metal sound. What kind of sound would I get out of the Lace Sensor? Would it sound much different than the pickup that is in it now? Are they worth the money? Or should I get a different pickup?
