I found a guitar at a Thrift store today--have no idea if I overpaid, it seems I have, it is a fender stratocaster black and white with an amp (fender 15) seems to be working fine...it has Jimi Hendrix sticker on the guitar, which I assume the last person who owned it placed there. It seems like a nice guitar but I saw on ebay similiar one for 99.95 new with a 10 amp...not sure when you buy used what kinds of problems you can run into...new to playing...It really is pretty but how do I find out if I have a cheap 100.00 guitar -in which case I can return it and buy a new one. It is sn ic010507350 made in Indonesia...does 01 mean it was made 2001?--theres a guy on ebay selling a 1970 hendrix tribute guitar for 13,500.00 right now, looks like the same guitar? mine actually looks much nicer...Does value depend on when made? where made?

When made, where made, condition, options on it, etc, etc. It's most likely a Squier. Most of the ones I see now are made in Indonesia or Korea. Happy playing.
