i have a 57 commemrative strat which is white blond nitrocellulose. i leave my guitars hanging from wall hangers with the straps attached. the strap i have on the 57 is the leather strap that came with it. i have noticed that there is a discoloration along the upper horn where the strap makes contact as it is hanging. the discoloration will not rub off. has anyone else run into this? any luck removing the discoloration?

It's got a nitrocellulose finish, so it picks up scuffs and rubs and marks all the time! You need to stop using that strap, the leather from some straps and even rubber from guitar stands can cause your guitar to discolour. You could try some soft, non corrosive bleach, but MAKE SURE you wipe/wash it off within about 30 seconds of having it on, and only use it once.

If you're not too keen on this idea then try Woolite 'Spot and Stain' cloths, or even some furniture polish, just rub it in little circles.

I just got a bottle of Fender Mist & Wipe Finish Enhancer, it worked pretty good and for $ 5 its worth giving it a try.

I`ve looked in every store and can`t find those Woolite Spot and Stain removing wipes, where are you getting them from ? I have an old Fender tweed amp I want to use them on and have had no luck finding them.

You might want to try a damp magic eraser. Be sure to test in some inconspicuous place first like under the pickguard.
