Beautiful....Sonic Blue holds a special place in my heart!!
Enjoy your new baby!

I feel your pain every time you mention the Sonic Blue '65 that got away, Rebelsoul. I'll bet she was one beautiful guitar.

John

She was John, and I really wish I hadn't let her get away, but like you said about your new one, they feel really close and have lots of the same vibe,so I love them too.
I'm still going to look for one like yours, and you've given me more G.A.S.!...that one looks great! :D

Good luck with your search. GAS never ends. It may pass for a while but it always comes back. :)

You know you have to get that amp 8)
Congrats! great guitar. Looks awesome, blue sky and the great surrounding. Sonic blue is the perfect fit. Enjoy.

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks, Robin. It's good to see blue desert sky with puffy, white clouds rather than huge dust clouds.

I'm still fighting off the '65 Super Rever Reissue urge and my back is thanking me. :)

John, I've got the 54 Thinskin...my#1

I can see why. I haven't been able to put the '61 down for long since I bought it Thursday. The Fat 50s pickups won me over fast.

But I already own '65 Twin and Deluxe Reverb Reissues, a 60 watt Supersonic and a Series III 410 Deville... do I really need another big Fender tube amp? Possibly.

Thanks, and yes that amp is calling my name. I was planning to trade for it but I saw the '61 Thin Skin and it called to me louder. Man, did that combination sound good, though. Hmmm...
