Hey all, probobly one of the earliest questions ever on this board. However, with the fender visiting center opening up monday, It appears you can go there and build your own strat with various parts on site. This idea alone makes me want to go there. What and how would your's look like? For me, nothing too much that needs to be changed.I would use an lightweight alder body(black) similar to the size of an eric johnson model. Id make it a swimming pool pickup route. On the pickguard id have both volume and tone knob lowered 1/2 inch or so.Then, Id want a setup similar to the 83 strat where I would not need a backplate but have a tremolo similar to the freeflyte but of quality so strings wouldnt slip or detune. Then id also want the input similar to the 83 or side input where most teles are.The neck would be maple and thin like on the 90's american standards.21 frets. And that I think would be it.

And it wouldn't be a Stratocaster.

What you talking about willis?I'm basically saying I want a strat with elements of an eric johnson model, strat plus model and an 83 smith model(never played one yet).So if I were to go to carona I could tell them this and they could make it supposively.
