I`m sure their technology has improved over the years but it wasn`t so good in the late 60`s, which is when I was there. Your travels to Asia must have been more recent so you have a better idea how it is there now.

Oh yeah, in the 60's I'm sure it was a backwater. I was there in the mid 80's. They were well on their way into the 20th century. It's sad to say, but they've probably got a better manufacturing base then we do these days. We farmed all those jobs out in the 90's. It's called stealing jobs from the American middle class to create a middle class in another country so everyone can be more equal. Funny, I don't remember getting a vote on that one.

OK, you were there 20 years after me. Did they still have dogs hanging in their butcher shops ? I remember when I first saw that, what a culture shock but I guess our diets are just as strange to them. They must be doing pretty good there now if they created a middle class. It was a poor country back then. The average income was $ 52 a year.

Well I can sure sleep well at night knowing that the U.S.A is home to greatest luthiers and inovaters of the stringed instrument, besides perhaps the violin and others that I know naught of, but guys this isn't about the good or bad of Korea, it's about this poor guy's strat. Besides, there's probably some great countryside there just like there is here. Miami is horrible, but where I live it's great. So quit yappin bout Korea and Koreans and start yappin bout whether ya wantthis guy to get this guitar.

One question tho, I can't really tell from the online photos, anyone know how the 'vintage white' compares to Olympic white? Slightly yellower?

Yes vintage white is slightly yellower. On the yellowy whiteness scale it goes Olympic white, Arctic white, Vintage white.

Surely you mean Vintage White > Olympic White > Arctic white ? (yellow to white)

Plus side on the website of one of my local shops it says they have one in stock in white. Can't wait to go down and try it out. Unfortunately they're pricing it ~£70 more than the online price, which is kinda annoying because I wasn't looking to spend too much :(
