Hey, you guys caught the drop shadow! Good eye!

That decal was made with one of those hobby shop kits you use with an ink jet printer... nothing to it. I understand the urge to fill that naked space on the guitar... but filling it with a Fender logo isn't just illegal, it feels wrong.... and I'm a huge Warmoth fan, but I wasn't putting that turtle on it, no way. :)

i name all my guitars sadly i haven't found a name that fits this one yet my guess is if i play it i'll get something all my guitars have been named but always in my hand it depends much on my mood at that moment and what i'm living and i always get girl names as a result...

i'm gonna get a headstock template and see what i get

QED. Just Google Fender water-slide decals - there are a bazillion makers out there, and with the right paper/ink combo, you can make your own at home.

Yeah, that's the illegal thing I'm talking about right there.

I don't understand why you would even want a Fender logo on that thing.

There's a thread on the creation of the Supermarine Strat. It's origins do not violate any trademark issues.

I'll defer to its creator on that one. There's a thread on it.

yes it's a stratocaster... it's a partscaster actually being made in a beginning custom shop ...

Seeing as you are Fond of the Fender logo and seeing as the custom shop is just starting up, how about "Fonder startocaster" (done like the original). Ted

Well, simply, I don't.

As-a-matter-of-fact, Fender's logo doesn't deserve to be on that headstock. I've played FCS strats. I've played "Masterbuilts". I can say without pride or prejudice I'd rather have this guitar than anything made by Fender. The guitar was built after a particular Dave Murray guitar, which happened to be made by Fender (and is a partscaster at that). That's the only reason why there's an F logo on my DM strat.

It has exactly one 'Fender part'. The middle single coil is a FCS Texas Special. Any more "original fender parts" and I'd have to kick my own a**.

Seeing as how its been mentioned, the full build thread:
