Fender Tennessee Strat

Does Fender make a cheaper, foreign made Tennessee Strat? Or does Squire make a version? This guitar is way too cool looking to limit it to a $5000 Custom Shop model only. Gimme Gimme Gimme!

Tennissee Strat. Never heard of it. Do you mean the Lone Star or Big Apple Strats?

In answer to the question though, im afraid a) i have no idea, and b) i somehow doubt it.

It's a custom shop Strat with Tele hardware; one of the coolest Fenders I've ever seen.. I hadn't heard of it since recently either. Here are a couple pics:

Looks to me you can find a strat like body that can be setup like a telecaster on Warmoth's or some other custom body builder.

Thanks for that info. I'm actually talkin' w/ them about prices. I'm thinking about getting it made with a basswood body with an ebony fretboard. I'm still on the fence about what type of wood I want for the neck. I'll probably go with maple; they recommended Goncalo Alves (which I've never heard of).
