Donny....though you may be satisfied with your ebay seller :? , that particular website does not enjoy the welcome of many on this Forum. Its a very lonnggggg story, going back many years, and too long in the telling, but there's been a lot of heat generated in these pages with respect to that business enterprise over there, and most of it not good. It was the self-same which I alluded to in my last comment.

Yeah I have bought and sold guitars there for years never had any problems but I always go with reliable established sellers. I much prefer to test one before buying but... alot of stores sell there to. The ones I deal with are legit but I am aware of the fakes. But alot of good sellers are there, fenderreliable is a legit seller all his stuff is real fenders taken apart.
I just got an 08 Deluxe neck with roller nut and an 06 montego black body (since Fender saw fit to stop making black Deluxe HSS the one color us metal guitarists want). But I could have bought a new one and would have for the money I spent if Fender would have kept making my guitar.
They were the Deluxe Plus HSS, they came in black and had a roller nut with a deluxe Fender locking bridge.
Oh well I can make my own since I have been a guitar repairman for years and Im also a machinist.

Since for instance fender saw fit to stop making my favorite bridge the locking deluxe tremolo, I have to turn to ebay to get them. It says Fender on it locks like a floyd and drops right into a strat no mods. Its real Fender.
Everything on my Strat is real Fender except my blazing Dimarzios and Im sure Mr Gearhead would aprove lol.

Welcome aboard Donny. I'm sure you'll be sharing a wealth of knowledge with us. There are quite a few out there like you who have found themselves held in high esteem around here. In the matter of the vendor, and without resurrecting what was to become an extremely intense and heated debate which went on for pages, the matter at hand focused on a question of ethics and morality in their sale of neck plates with serial numbers on them, as well as COA's, independent of the instruments they came from.
The Forum has bee exquisitely senstive to the matter of fraudulent representation in the selling of Fender guitars through venues such as eBay and Craigs list, and so arose the debate when certain matter was brought to our attention.

+1

It's pretty pointless to put any value on these without the complete instrument they once accompanied.

Worse still are the outright forgeries of which I've seen a few. One retard hawking these shams couldn't even spell "authenticity" correctly.
