Not strictly a new guitar, but my first Japanese Stratocaster and my 6th Stratocaster to date.

Following the disappointments I've had recently, it's been nice to get a pleasant surprise.

She's a 1987 Japanese Contemporary Standard Strat, an E-series. Texas Specials at the neck and middle position, DiMarzio Super Distortion at the bridge. Callaghan bridge & saddles. Recently fitted the brushed silver Sperzel TrimLoks and the brushed straplocks myself.

I have no idea what the colour is- looks WAY bluer in the photos than in real life, in real life I'd say it's a petrol blue. Any thoughts here would be appreciated!

Anyhoo... enough rambling... here she is. 8) as well as the other members of the family! Bought her to go with Ol' Red as a nice contrasting set. Tex, the gold Lone Star, is on his way to a new home soon.

I have always wanted a nice blue Strat. Yours is one of the nicest I've ever seen and I like Japanese made Fender guitars! I've got ringers for both your red and blizzard pearl Strats, guess I'll have to go hunting for the Blue!

That's a Shoreline Gold Lone Star ;) close though! There's an identical twin to mine that's a Squier on eBay currently, a friend on here gave me a link in fact. If you want it let me know.

Ralf- I think it's Lake Placid Blue to be honest! Or Ocean Turquoise, something like that. It's really way greener than it looks, no idea how!

The red one is my evil creation ;) started life as a 2001 American Deluxe HSS. Ten years later, he's now loaded with all DiMarzio pickups (D-Sonic at the bridge, Super Distortion middle and Cruiser neck), master tone circuit, GraphTech saddles and ten years of play wear. He's badass. Extremely loud and scary!

Ralf- I've definitely come to the conclusion that it's Lake Placid Blue. This is the most accurate photo of the colour yet!

On a sadder note, my gold Lone Star is now up for sale. unemployment's hit hard!

Heh, go for it Ralf 8) it's one of my favourite colour blends at the moment! Blue and black always works well, I think.

Buxom- why Leslie? :?

Still don't have a name for it but it's the most female Strat I've owned, whereas the other two are definitely boys. This one is more... hmmm... a Neela.
