Hi Alfortish, welcome to the Forum.

We, the audience, think you probably bought a short scale Strat. A Squier Mini-Strat, perhaps? Or maybe it is a regular Strat to which someone has fitted a shorter scale conversion neck, such as those available from Warmoth. I doubt there's too many of those about, but perhaps you stumbled upon one.

Two things. You could measure the scale length for us so we have more info to work on. And you could also post some better photos, especially nicely focused shots of the front and back of the headstock. Then we might know more.

Cheers - C

Better pic's and some measurements for sure will help us help you.

BTW: while we're waiting for Mr Alfortish to come back to us... DetroitBlues, your sig line makes my wife laugh - and me too. Where does it come from, please?

Cheers - C

I have an '85ish MIJ Squier Stratocaster with a single humbucker and a short Gibson (24.75") scale. So they were definitely made.
