I figured where better to go for a stratocaster question than the official strat forum Does anyone know where to get a good strat neck with an american feel and a satin polyurethane finish?

What does an American neck feel like? Does it feel different from a Mexican or Japanese neck? How would you tell the difference?

Well to me American necks feel more smooth,have better action and have more attention to detail. I'm really fond of finger rolled edges personally. I went to a mans hour that was riddled with MIM Fender Strat's but the necks just didn't feel right to me. I've even gone to guitar stores and just sat for hours and played all sorts of guitars Squier,MIM,MIJ and MIA and the American guitars just have a superior feel to me.

Also I'm not saying MIM's or any other guitar made in another place other than America are bad there are plenty of other great sounding guitars it's just my personal preference that's all

The American necks don't talk with an accent,but feel....I don't know.
