1. AVRI USA 57 or 62 (alder body, s-s-s pickup routing)
2. Malmsteen strat (alder body, s-s-s pickup routing)
3. Eric Johnson Strat (alder body, s-s-s pickup routing)
4. clapton strat (alder body, s-s-s pickup routing)
5. John Mayer Strat (alder body, s-s-s pickup routing)

They are all top quality; however, the EJ body has the tightest specifications - it is always a 2-piece body (the others could be either 2-piece or 3-piece bodies), has to fall into a very narrow weight range that he likes, and has the thin skin nitro finish. That may or may not make it worth a slightly higher price than the others. The AV '62 also has the nitro finish but has a urathane undecoat; the Malmsteen, EC, and Meyer all have the urathane finish.

I should also point out that the EC body has that extra route for the circuit card, which could provide some flexibility for custom electronics on your build.
