I've checked Fender's pickups and don't see any double h-buckers for a HSS strat.
Surely they make some, right? If not what do they use in them?

Thanks.

My 2005 American HH Strat came with what Fender called a "Black Cobra" in the bridge position, and a "Sidewinder" in the neck position. I have no idea if Fender still produces these pickups, but here is the service diagram for the 2005 American HH Strat which includes part numbers.

Thanks for your reply. Does not make sense to find no double h-buckers on the site though. Strange. Thanks again.

Hi Kevman50,

What do you mean by "double hum-bucker"? Hum-bucker pups have two coils, so a double would have four coils. :?:

If you're looking for a Strat with double humbuckers then the Blacktop HH or the Pawnshop Series '72 would be the only choices. If you want two humbuckers with a single coil then the Dave Murray Strat would be your only choice. I'm not really clear what you're looking for, a guitar or just replacement pickups.

Oh, you mean two hum-buckers, an HH, or even HSH. An HSS is only one hum-bucker with two single-coil pups. Just checked out a Blacktop HH Strat today (not the FR), very nice, surprisingly good fit, finish and feel, great sound with cool pup switching selections, definitely worth a look for a...."double hum-bucker" Strat (HH). I ordered a new one before I left GC, as I wanted something different, and I really like it a lot. Can't wait until it arrives. :D

Could be. In the mean time I'm learning the pup choices you get from the 5 way with the Blacktop HH. Pretty interesting. But, yeah it looks like Fender doesn't show a humbucker as a replacement part on the website. Anyway, back to that Blacktop.

He wants a double humbucker for a HSS strat. I have no idea what he is talking about and I don,t think he does either.
