I'll give the saddle a try as well...

It does play good and I love the sound....

Thanks again all for the advice.

Yeah, I remember when I got screwed over by Fender. I was 15 and had a Fender Bullet on lay-a-way at Sam Ash. I finally made my last payment, and went home with it. When I opened the case, they had forgotten to put the Bullet in there and stuck me with a Stratocaster. Boy did there QA suck on that day. But I'm happy it did... :D

Looks good. But is the pickguard supposed to look like that, it looks "wrong". See bottom cutaway just below the neck. It looks like its straight instead of following the shape of the cutaway. Of course this may be how an original '62 is. I don't know. Might be a trick of the light. I really don't know. Someone educate me please. :|

Pick guard is perfect, they start off straight from the neck and then curve to follow the cutaway. Here is a picture from the Fender site of one (righty), looks just the same.

yes, it is the same problem with my 2001 malmsteen strat

the high E string is too closer to edge

then, i try to loosen the neck screw and push the neck toward to low E side (like shimilou wrote before in page-1) , then the guitar is working perfectly until now ;)

It´s great having a Fender, so we can fix that ourself, try that on a Gibson 8)

Sometimes even Yngwie tries to fix his guitars somehow

I think the bridge wasn't lined up right. The strings should be resting right above the pole pieces. In this case they are not. I had a similiar issue with a Deluxe Lonestar Strat. The high e sounded really quiet compared to the rest of the strings. Ended up getting rid of the guitar and picked up an older Roadhouse and swapped the neck for a Lonestar. Now I'm golden (but since traded that guitar for an even older Deluxe Tex-Mex from '96 and a Heritage acoustic)

Check the second set of pictures DetroitBlues. He has already corrected the problem (neck alignment) and now the strings line up perfectly. Nothing wrong with the bridge.
