That's one nasty routing job. Do Squires even come like that?

it is not squire electronics because i have a squire and this guitar sounds alot better than my squire

Sorry dude. Ceramic bar magnet pickups, nickle size pots, cheap PCB switch, green polyester cap, and bright plastic wires - Those are all Squier components. You got taken big time.

I´d say this guitar is worth 100 dollars.
I would trade and move on.
You lost a few bucks, yet you were not burned too badly.
A valuable lesson.

ToeJoe,

seriously don't feel bad. Despite all the bashing here you did ok. I have run across similar deals that I was skeptical of, but because it seemed to good to be true, I passed on it to later learn that it was the real thing. Owwwch! If you are looking for that ultimate deal to flip for a profit you have to be willing to take a chance as you usually only get one and only chance at those kinds of deals. Anyway, a guitar that plays great in that condition is worth what you paid for it. Besides the value of a guitar doesn't continue to depreciate until it's worth nothing even if it's a Squire. And if it turns out to be a Squire I'd gamble that it's still worth what you paid with the nicer neck installed.

If you can take it to Guitar Center and get over $200, do it! I seriously doubt this guitar is worth all the trouble. If that is in fact an American neck, then the neck is worth more than the guitar in whole.

Seriously doubt that the body is USA of any brand, or any year. The US swimming pool routes were rectangle, and much better than this one. At best, it is a Squier body, but maybe a knock-off IMO.

It may not actually be a Squier. But it has the electronics and hardware of starter guitars. There are TONS of them out there under many different names.

It really sucks when there are people out there who do this to people. Your best defense is knowledge, and there's no shortage of it here on this forum. Stick around, ask questions, and you will learn a lot.
