Hi I was wondering why Fender stopped making this, can we tell them to start again?
I dropped this into my 08 deluxe no mods whatsoever and with the locking tuners and lsr roller its the best most natual system ever!

Fender you need to keep producing this we have to fight for them on ebay now!

They were in the Deluxe Plus for a few years best addition to a strat ever.

The deluxe locking bridge hasn't been discontinued; it's currently available as a separate accessory along with a matching backplate.

Fender's decision to not include the locking bridge option on their new US Deluxes at this time was primarily intended to allow customers who bought a post-2010 Deluxe HSS Strat to make their own "HSS LT" by replacing the non-locking 2-point trem with the "mini-Floyd" bridge.

Fender doesn't actually use the mini-Floyd Rose on the Deluxe HSS Strat with the N3s and the raw switch, though I believe they'll possibly reinstate this now-discontinued option sometime in 2012, as did with the return of the beveled gold vinyl pickguard on the Deluxe V-Neck Strats a couple of months ago.

As for the Super Vee locking tremolo, Eric Johnson has installed the new bridge on one of his signature models for the 2010 Experience Hendrix Tour.



I suppose Fender will soon offer their HSS Deluxes with the new locking bridge which definitely replaces the mini-Floyd Rose of the older models.
