Depending on where I'm playing, I like a Pro Jr through a separate, single 12" cab or a vintage Twin Reverb.

Two Words:
Blues DeVille! I've had one since 1993 and gigged with it extensively.
I have the 2 X 12 tweed, which is no longer in production. The 4 X 10 was re-issued, and you can still get it.
Take a look on TV, and you'll see a LOT of them still in use!

There are a couple of drawbacks, though....the drive channel isn't a real
"dirty" sound, and the volume pot on the drive channel is hard to deal with.
If you try to turn it to 1, it sounds like it's on 10!
I only use the clean channel anyway, and use pedals. But, the sound is just amazing.

Blues Junior!! great for home and small gigs!! tho you may need a overdrive pedal if you like a lot of gain!! but still great little amps...and ive had loads of different amps..Boogies..Peaveys..Marshalls..rack gear..the lot!!..ive kept the best!..tho a 65 deluxe reverb is great..try a Cornford if you wallet can stretch to it, the best amps ive ever heard, my brother has got the Cornford Hurricane!!!...awesome!!!

I've had and liked The Fender Twin, Super Reverb and Pro-Reverb.

My current fav is a Fender ProSonic..but I think it's discontinued...

Have a question about the Blues Junior. Is is close when overdriven (in the amp) to the Champ? I played through an older Champ in a store and loved the tone at the various levels.

But a new Blues Jr seems like a better idea for just a little more $.

I own a Hot Rod Deluxe and Blues Deville 410. Love them and I use a Twin Reverb 67 pedal.

i have an FM combo (25 watt) that gives me a wide variety of sounds (there's acoustic, jazz, tweed, blackface, british, hotrod, and metal settings), and the built in effects give me tons of options. the second channel is perfect for a heavier, "dirty" sound.
