In other words, you have no clue how to properly set up a guitar. As I said earlier, read this:

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... etup-guide

If you don't understand what it says, take the guitar to a good tech and have it done properly. In either case, set the guitar up with the strings you intend to use.

That is why it now feels a little stiffer, I explained exactly why in my previous post.

About .010" is "normal" relief for the neck on a US Deluxe, so the question would be why you have adjusted the neck so straight and raised the action, if you obviously prefer the feel of a neck with a little more relief in it?

Because the OP doesn't understand how to properly set up a guitar.

Wow. The condesending here is heavy.
I would look up setup steps, and follow them. Later as you get more comforable with it, you can do it to your taste, and not have to pull out feeler gauges and rulers. I give you props for jumping in there though, I know guys whove played longer than i've been on alive who still wont touch their truss rod, or do anything beyond changing their strings.

A straight neck will have a better tone, and more resonance, but you will have to make a sacrifice in the buzz departement. Some guys keep them dead straight, and dont care about a bit of fret buzz. Fret buzz is the bain of my existence though, I cant tolerate it at all. This is why Im somewhat more comfortable playing on higher action than some. Before I knew how to do a proper setup, my neck was straight, so i had to raise the saddles to compensate. This, along with the vintage 7 1/4" radius, made me have to set the action high so I could bend without fretting out.

Now, I have a more difficult time playing something with real low action, even if its buzz free, it dont like how they bend strings.

Yeah, I realise that, I was just trying to help the OP by having him think about what he was trying to achieve and why he made the adjustments in the first place. Making the connection between what he changed on the guitar and the difference he now feels is part of learning how to set up the guitar to get what you want from it.

Just trying to help.

Not condesending at all. My very first post (third in this thread) recommended that the OP learn how to properly set up a guitar. Meanwhile people suggested different string gauges, different type strings, etc. without dealing with the fundamental problem: learning to do (or paying someone to do) a proper setup. That should be the very first thing one does.

Check your tuning and if it's correct, tune down a half step. That will loosen things up a bit.

Because I do extreme Buddy Guy,Jimi Hendrix,Albert King bends I've been using 8-38s since the late 60s and have come to the point that I can hardly play on anything else to get the desired effects I look for.Contrary to popular belief light strings don't have a negative effect on your tone and if any thing are much brighter than regular strings. A set of 8-38s tuned to Eb and you're in benders heaven.
