Ive had this idea for a long time. get one of those talk boxes, but instead of mic'ing your voice, mic a keyboard amp playing some organ stuff. or even mic a saxophone or a harmonica or anything. I think it would be really cool. ive been looking for a pedal that can simulate those presets you get on a keyboard, like an organ, and a xylophone.

The saxaphonist/harmonica player from the band Galactic uses a talkbox a lot live. Check this clip out:

I had a prof in music college that championed the idea of using equipment in ways that it wasn't designed for.

Well, yeah, using equipment in odd ways can be cool, but.... I still don't understand whatt he original poster is asking.

When you use a talk box, you're not mic'ing your voice, you're micing a guitar sound played into your mouth.

So what is it you're trying to describe? Do you want to play your guitar and have a keyboard sound come out (like a guitar synth)? Or do you want to give a keyboard sound vowel sounds (like a vocoder)?

Yeah my friend and I had planned on hooking up my talkbox to his keyboard, but we never did it :( ..... we have tryed hooking up a wah pedal to his keyboard though and it didn't turn out to great..... guitar effects pedals are specifically voiced to sound good for guitar.
