Thanks for the info, Retroverbial!
I wonder about the difference between the Time Machine series and the Custom Shop re-issues.

I'm not certain if Fender still offers the "Time Machine" series, Mike. But I thought the "NOS" and "Closet Classic" editions were pretty nice.

Right, so I am in the process of learning how to upload pictures. I´m kind of a slow learner here.
But I managed an avatar picture of the above mentioned Squier I decided to relic.
When I saw the roadworn series come out I thought, -I want me one of them suckers! Forget the scary neighborhood, this guitar will go anywhere!-
So I proceeded to abuse my mint Squire, a 180 dollar purchase. (Love the ceramic pickups on it.)
Drinking hard liquor greatly facilitated the task.
Notice just one knob, essential if you wanna be ¨hep¨. ahahahahha
Looking forward to seeing similar jobs.

"CLASSIC"...

...is in this opinion the most overused word in much of musical society and has become so trite, it makes this writer want to projectile vomit upon hearing it.

Here we can see the actual relic job by the CS on my 1960 Strat (2010).
The front shows minimal relic treatment, the scratches and stuff are only apparent when you look real close, and do not show in the pics. I need better lighting. Also, I don´t know why my laptop inverts the pictures, making it look like a left-handed guitar!
Anyways guys, the light relics are nice.

You can easily use any quality imaging software to compensate for that, Mike. Even MS Paint (usually bundled with the Windows Office XP suite) can flip, invert, or rotate a pic.
