I have been looking everywhere for a Corvette Yellow Strat. I have been told it's not a color Fender uses anymore and I’ll either need to stumble across a NOS hanging in a shop somewhere or have one built. I was also told to get one made it would have to be Ma$$$ter Built - Yipe$$$! As much as I would love a Master Built it ain’t happening. Any of you grizzled Strat veterans know what the color code was so maybe I could order the color from Reranch?

Which Corvette Yellow are you talking about? There are several Corvette Yellows, Millenium Yellow, Competition Yellow, Warbonnet Yellow, Plain Yellow, Corvette Yellow, Bright Yellow, Sunflower Yellow, Daytona Yellow, Safari Yellow, Sunfire Yellow, Goldwood Yellow, Panama Yellow, are all "Corvette" yellows and every one of them are different.

If you are looking for a yellow strat, the early Strat Plus' came in Yellow and you might try going the E-bay route looking for yellow strats. Or you could go down to a Chevy dealer and get the paint code from them and then do a refin...but one caution, if you are thinking of a fairly new yellow of recent corvettes, part of the color comes from a tint coat, so just painting it using the paint code won't be as close as you might like.

FWIW

The exact Strat I'm looking for is my Avatar pic. It's just listed as Corvette yellow. I had no idea it would be this difficult to find. Looks like I'll have to do a little more research.

Perhaps you mean GRAFFITI yellow. Fender produced a couple of American Standards, American Series and Pluses in that colour between 1986 and 2002. Corvette Yellow doesn't exist.

There was also Monaco Yellow, which is slightly brighter than Graffiti; it was offered as a part of the so-called "International" finishes available on many early-to-mid 1980s Strats.

Daytona or Sunfire would be my guess. But I'd go for Marina Blue if it was my choice.

Grafitti yellow on the strats is way cool.

Love that blue Chevelle too! Sweet ride.

I have a red 76 Vette, but alas, it's not yellow. :D

That picture REALLY makes me want a winning lottery ticket. '67 SS Chevelle. 396/375 I'd imagine. One of Chevy's better looking Chevelles, I've always liked that grille.

+1!

I had a '67 Super Sport -- Butternut Yellow, 396/360, Muncie M21, 12-bolt pos with 3.73's. Wish I still had it......

:(
