Hmmmm.....INsofar as I know, only Dave Murray uses a strat. And, if you look at the 2008 Standard, it's pretty similar in terms of setup. (All the way down to the humbucker in the bridge)

last time I saw maiden, they were all using strats.

i don't know if fender produced an Iron maiden strat, but I have seen them. It had a floyd rose, and the maiden logo on the headstock.

When Fender comes out with a Dave Murray Signature strat I will be first in line to buy one.

i've never been a huge maiden fan, but i'd imagine the guitar would sell pretty well considering they have a pretty big following built up over the years

Especially since they are one of the only metal bands to use fender guitars

Too late DeVinci13, Fender DID make a Dave Murray strat in the mid '90's, I almost bought one but bought a Steve Harris P-Bass instead.

They were CIJ instruments, only made for a brief period.

Hi everyone, I just joined because I too am searching the web for the same model, which very much does exist but appears to be out of production. The Iron Maiden Stratocaster (model no. 025-2502-(506) ) was introuduced in July of 2001 as part of the Artist Signature Series. A tech spec link can be found here:

I played one at Guitar Center and didn't want it then, but I'd kill for one now.

Maybe grab yourself a Richie Sambora sig strat and modify it to look like one of Daves. Richie's series have the Floyd Rose and HSS set up. I know some of Daves have Duncan hotrails in them.

The Fender mentioned above, although a "signature" Iron Maiden Strat, isn't what I'd consider a "real" signature model.

I would love to see a Dave Murray model. Black body, white pick-guard, 2 humbuckers with pickup rings, Kahler locking tremolo and maple neck. I don't think Fender ever put one of those out. If they did, I'd be on it.

In fact, I'm cosidering finding a hardtail Strat and getting a Kahler with 2 humbuckers thrown in, on my own. It would probably be cheaper than a signature model anyway.

That's a real sweet strat - What is the origin of a code 25 in the model number?

I think I remember reading an interview with Dave Murry years ago. He got his first strat a black one with a maple fret board at a pawn shop. I can't remeber who he said the shop owner told him it once belonged to but he purchased it and installed humbuckers in the bridge and neck and it was his main guitar until he had to retire it. Sort of a heavy metal "Blackie"

I have the 2000 - 2001 Iron Maiden Fender - with the Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo and 2 Seymour Duncan Hot Rails pickup (neck and middle) and 1 Seymour Duncan Humbucker pickup (bridge). The Guitar has been played twice and has been stored in the softcase the reat of the time I have had it. I bought it New in June 2001. If you are interested in the Greatest Iron Maiden Artifact here it is! I will include the Softcase, 18ft Cord, suede leather Strap, and the never used guitar Tuner. kelleyandtodd@yahoo.com
