Yup, that guitar is gorgeous!
There are only a few sunburst finishes I like. THAT ONE is the best!!

The thin skin finish on these guitars feels good too,it will scratch easy, but that's just a natural relic job. :D

I can't believe it, Snowy! So, you own both Strats I'm gasing for. Well, in this case I just can say that I envy you :D A LOT!

So... which one to get first? HR 62 or Deluxe? Why?

That Sherwood Green one is so beautiful, too. There's one in a local store, near home (NOS, of course. From 2007, maybe?).

Damco,
I know you like the hr 62 and am deluxe ,
Why don't you check out the hr 57 strat, neck and middle
Are scn pickups and a tone zone in the bridge,
I have one and they're awesome.
I used to have an am deluxe v neck, s1 switch has alot
Of options , really cool too.
I like simplicity in a strat.
I've heard, I could be wrong, you may want to research,
That the scn are just a little different, the reason I mention
is that the hss deluxe scn are slightly overwound to balance
Out with the humbucker.
Now when I had both guitars, I can honestly say hr57 and deluxe
sounded differently

Beautiful guitar! Congratulations! I'm sure it will have the loving home it deserves.

I've also got to say that those are some beautiful pictures you took. I may have to make one of them my computer background once I get home.

Thank you for your answer to my question, bluesstrattone. I know that the HR 57 is a great guitar, and I'm sure I'd like it, but I'm looking for a RW neck (don't really know why, my Telecaster Plus is maple neck and I love it...) and HR 57 is maple neck, right?

Anyway, I'm going to play all guitars I can before buy... when I can finally save the money (4th attempt...).

If only I can get a Deluxe V neck with a rosewood fretboard. Or any american made strat with a v neck rosewood fretboard!

More than on the prize, I've to keep my eye on the price. :(

Here in Spain:

American Deluxe Stratocaster- 1850 € - 2665 $, more or less
Hot Rod 62 Stratocaster - 2400 € - 3455 $, more or less (I've seen one in an american web for 1600$

So... maybe saving for a guitar and holidays in USA? I can go to California (have a friend in San Francisco) and buy a guitar...
