I keep part of the string package and mark on it what guitar they went on and the date. It takes all the guessing out of it.

Depends on how long ago you changed them, and which ones are Nickel, and which are nickel plated. Like i said; pure nickels warmth, while noticeable on plain strings, is much more noticeable on wound ones.
