The stock Tex-Mex pups in my American HSS strat are American made. The name Tex-Mex descibes a sound (southwestern) not the place they are made. Are Texas specials made in Texas ? Of corse not.

Brad at Fender straighten us out here bro' we've got conflicting opinions! I'm guessing TexMex pickups are made in America because Fender put them on the American HSS. Set us straight.

UPDATE, I just recieved a reply from fender.. The Tex-Mex pups in my American HSS Strat are indeed manufactured in MEXICO. I apoligize for my previous post.

ok wow, I own the 60th and they are reverse wound, there is no noise in positions 2 and 4. For the DC resistance look at page 2 of the pick up list all the info is there

I have a question :?: :?: does the tex-mex has more output than the Texas Special :?: :?: I have a MIM 92 Strat and i´m looking for that single coil tone like srv.
