Names calling is unwarranted and unwanted here.
If you have problems with something someone says, attack what was said, not the person.

You're currently at 5 posts here. That so many here have survived to 1000+ posts is for a reason; generally positive contributions and lack of ad hominem posts is a good start.

A MIM with 22 frets compares to a MIA the same as a 21 fret MIM compares to a MIA except for 1 fret.
That's a general answer to a general question. If you want a more specific answer, you have to ask a more specific question. Especially when trying to make comparisons. General comparisons tend to be worthless, and can even be misleading.

I have actually played this guitar recently and it lived up to my expectations. Costs less than an American Special, but has some nice "Deluxe" appointments.

Well let's just see if I've got this right......

You called me a dick because I dare to suggest that you change out of your pajamas into street clothes, climb out of your momma's basement, borrow the keys to her Hyundai, then drive to a Guitar Center and personally inspect and play a guitar for which you've expressed a specific interest.

If there's a penile facsimile here, it's not me.

Have a nice......whatever, snowflake.

Duosonics, Jaguars and Mustangs are 22 fret MIM guitars (ironically, not the Jazzmasters though)
As mentioned previously the Deluxe Strat and Tele have 22 frets (seemingly all the Deluxes so there is a good selection)
The Jim Root Tele has 22 frets (cool guitar, too) but seems kinda expensive for a MIM that (I assume) comes with no hardshell case...

ALSO... the Modern Player has 22 frets (made in China),as well as the Coronado and Starcaster (also made in China). The "special edition custom" Tele has 22 frets (made in Korea), and the JA-90 does too (Korea and Indonesia depending on which JA-90 you get)

Wow you just shot your load on that response seems to me being called a dick bothers you and your response if just that of a person who cant grasp the fact that somebody might not know much about guitars and was asking people who so called know more about them then I do . Im a beginner so im going to ask a lot of questions about equipment , and as for me going out , to a store I do and I ask them questions also , and as for me living in a basement cupcake , im a 54 year old man with a family and 2 houses and a 14 year old son that also is play guitar so before you assume about a person maybe you should listen to what they are asking it seems to me your worried about a pick count in a forum that you have now made useless because of the response you have given so now that I realize your nothing but a troll here you have a good day and im sorry to the other members that had to read this argument .

I don't know if you saw it, but there was a separate thread on John Wetton of Asia and King Crimson fame who recently died of colon cancer. Not a sexy topic, I know. In fact, there have been a number of recent rock star deaths from colon cancer including Ronnie James Dio whose family said that his cancer was fully preventable if he was tested. You (as well as I) are in that age range for regular colonoscopies. Dio never got his and is gone. I recently had my first one (and it was a VERY good thing that I did!). After what I recently learned, I am pushing others over 50 to get theirs too. Just trying to prevent all of us to not be prematurely removed from the gene pool ... : )

Implying your time is more valuable than the combined time of the people who answered you?

This is not Fender helpdesk where people are paid to be patient and answer questions. Any replies you get, including those you don't like, have to be considered more than you have a right to expect. Reacting with impudence is unlikely to increase the amount of answers perceived by you as useful.

Well, do you? Perhaps you would feel more welcome somewhere else?
Of course, it could be that all of us are wrong and you are right...

ALTEREGOX wrote:

This might well be your area of expertise. Could you describe in more detail how to perform this? A diagram would be welcome.

Arjay are many things, but a troll is not one of them. His knowledge is extensive, and he has shared a lot of it here over the years. He's especially knowledgeable about tube amps and electronics, but also Stratocasters. He might come across as abrasive or sarcastic at times, but I completely respect his knowledge and integrity.
(Even if he's right-wing to the core, put "pita" in capitalist, and doesn't understand the finer points of Friedrich Engels, poor guy.)

Out of curiosity, how do you think you are doing at earning people's respect here?
Could some, perhaps, see you jumping in and attacking people with names calling and other "alternative manners" trolling too?

Chill. Take a few steps back. Read some old threads. See how few people behave like you have, and draw a conclusion, whether it's everybody else being wrong, or you being wrong. But try to roll with the punches, and leave the daggers outside, 'k?

(Where is Rob Schwarz when we need him to cool things down? Slacking again!)
:p

hey Arth1, since you pointed out my typo the other day, I have to ask, is Arjay a team of people? Or just one?

I think everyone needs to take a chill pill.
